Who is Tallycent for?

Self-employed people in Singapore who keep receipts for their tax filing: insurance and property agents, freelancers and consultants.

How is Tallycent different from accounting software?

Tallycent is built for Singapore’s self-employed: insurance agents, property agents, freelancers and consultants. It organises your receipts, flags deductible expenses and prepares your tax records. It is not a full accounting system, so there is no bookkeeping to learn.

Is the free trial for every plan?

The 30-day free trial is for yearly plans only. Your card is taken at sign-up and charged when the trial ends; cancel before then and you pay nothing. Monthly plans are billed from day 1.

How is Tallycent different from a receipt app?

Each receipt is recorded with its business purpose, following IRAS guidance. GST, fixed assets and spend by project are built in.

Do I need to be GST-registered?

No. Everyone gets the expense statement. GST statements and F5 figures are there for those who are registered.

Where is my data kept, and for how long?

Stored securely in Singapore and backed up every day. Each receipt is kept for 7 years from the day it was uploaded. Download everything while your plan is active and for 30 days after.

Can my assistant help?

On Pro, invite up to 2 personal assistants, 3 users in total. They upload, sort and confirm receipts. Settings stay with you. Starter is for one user.

Can a Chartered Accountant review my records?

Yes. Export any period and send it to a Chartered Accountant for review before you file. Write to developer@tallycent.com for an introduction.

Can I cancel?

Any time, in Settings. Your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for. For 30 days after that you can view and download your records; new uploads stop. Payments are not refunded. Each receipt is kept for 7 years from the day it was uploaded.

Is this tax advice?

No. Tallycent shows guidance from your answers and IRAS rules. You remain responsible for your GST returns and tax filings.
